  2. 2 cups Wheat flour
  3. 2 tbsp Besan
  4. 1/4 tsp Salt
  5. 1/4 tsp Baking powder
  6. 1/4 cup Ghee
  7. as required kneading water
  8. For Churma-
  9. 2 Baaties
  10. 2 tbsp Ghee
  11. 3 tbsp Powdered sugar
  12. 2 tbsp Chopped cashewnuts almonds and pistachios
  13. 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
  14. For Tadka Dal-
  15. 1/2 Cup Urad Dal
  16. 1/2 Cup Chana Dal
  17. 2 Tbsp Oil
  18. 1 Onion chopped
  19. 1 Tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
  20. 1 Green chilli chopped
  21. 1 Tomato chopped
  22. 1/4 Tsp Salt
  23. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  24. 2 n1/2 Cup Water
  25. 1 Tsp Coriander powder
  26. 1/2 Tsp Cumin powder
  27. 1/2 Tsp Garam masala
  28. 1/2 Tsp Kasoori Methi
  29. For Tadka:
  30. 3 tbsp Ghee
  31. 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  32. Pinch asafoetida
  33. 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  34. 2 tbsp Green coriander leaves chopped

Instructions to make to make Dal Bati Churma

  1. For Bati-
  2. Firstly in a large bowl take wheat flour besan salt baking powder and ghee.
  3. Mix well making sure the dough is moist.
  4. Now add water as required and knead the dough. Make sure the dough is firm and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile grease a baking tray with a little oil.
  6. Pinch a small ball sized dough and roll it.
  7. Place the rolled bati in a baking tray.
  8. Preheat oven at 230°c. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes at 230°c. After 15 minutes carefully flip the batis and bake again for about 15 minutes.
  9. Dip the batis in ghee for more soft it from inside. Finally bati is ready.
  10. For Churma-
  11. Make coarse powder of batis.
  12. Add all the ingredients of churma and mix well.
  13. Finally Churma is ready.
  14. #For dal-
  15. In a bowl soak urad dal & Chana dal for 2 hours.
  16. Firstly in a pressure cooker take oil and add onions and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  17. Add ginger garlic and green chilli and saute well.
  18. Add tomato, both the dals, salt and turmeric powder.
  19. Pressure cook for 2-3 whistles.
  20. When pressure cooker is cool down then open it.
  21. Add coriander powder cumin powder garam masala powder and kasuri methi and mix well.
  22. For Tadka-
  23. Now in a tadka pan add ghee and cumin seeds. When cumin splutter add asafoetida and red chilli powder and mix well.
  24. Add tadka in cooked dal and cook for more 5 minutes on low flame.
  25. Add coriander leaves.
  26. Finally Tadka Dal is ready to serve.
